Ok so I almost started crying when I saw the picture of the cribs next to each other! What a blessing!! You are going to have two babies!!! Take it all in :) And the picture of Matt practicing, as I'll call it, in the chair with the dogs is a HOOT!!!
It is absolutely beautiful as I expected! I can't wait to come visit and see the babies in their cribs! Tell Matt I promise not to dye baby girl's hair pink... ;)
I'm so excited you're going to be able to meet the little ones so soon. They need a good dose of Aunty Kristie to really get a feel for this world! :)
I have to agree that the cribs side by side made me emotional. If you're anything like I was, you probably just sit in the nursery and imagine what it will be like when your babies are here. It looks wonderful.
Yes, we both find ourselves wandering in there & sitting in the rocker. So peaceful. That's why I wanted to get it done early-- so I could appreciate it before it became strewn with diapers and smelled like poo. :)
Taryn, you are too crafty! The nursery looks great. I couldn't help but notice the robin beanie baby on your fairy-gnome-forest shelf. If memory serves me correctly Gram had one (maybe that very one). What a great place to perch it. I know your babies will probably come before the due date (July 26th), but what a great omen having your due on Gram's bday. I am so happy for you guys!
Ellen, good eye! That is Grams' robin. We had bought it for her several years ago and Gary & Judy saved it for us (thank you!). We wanted a representation of her overlooking the cribs because we know she will be. And when you add in the due date/birthday coincidence, it just really feels like these babies have a very special guardian angel. We have really been missing her and wish she could have been here to meet the babies, but we have taken great comfort in knowing that she will be watching over them.
Taryn you have created such a wonderful magical room for you new little ones! As everyone has said, seeing TWO cribs is so amazing and exciting. I love being able to see what you guys have done. Enjoy your peaceful, reflective moments.
Thank you, Beth! I think that we've made the shift to thinking in twos. I've caught myself on several occassions asking people when their "babies" are due. Of course, part of that is because I talk to/read a lot by twin moms so it's become my reality now. We'll have to learn twice as fast, but we have the luxury of not knowing the difference. As they say, ignorance is bliss! :)
The nursery is beautiful!! It takes alot of work but will be wonderful for them. I had to laugh at Matt holding the dogs, boy will they be jealous.
Thanks for sending the address for this, I could not get it to work before!
You two will make great parents! Love and blessings on you all!!
