Week 23 Update

Well, the real stuff begins! We'll be updating the blog weekly to let you know how things are going...

For those who've not kept in daily contact with us, the pregnancy is going very well. I was extremely fortunate to miss out on morning sickness (thank God!). I was very tired up until about week 20 when I started getting some energy back. I doubt that sticks around past the 3rd trimester, but by then I should almost be out of school & can lounge around at will. :) All our tests & sonograms have checked out nicely. So far, it's all been "textbook" which is always nice to hear. Hopefully the rest of the pregnancy goes as well.

So, Week 23 is upon us. I read that this is the week the babies begin to hear. They are moving a lot and I'm noticing more pressure as they twist and turn. It's funny because I'll just have this big mound on my belly as they shift. I think my belly is about to take another spurt. It's due & I read the babies will be growing quite a bit these next few weeks. I'm anticipating a more drastic change for the Week 24 bump photo.

Over the past few weeks, we've been working on the nursery. It's turning out nicely. We put the recliner in a few days ago and hope to get the curtains up this week. Other than that, we just have a few final touches to complete and, of course, the organization of all the baby gear. I'm pleased with our progress. We also bought our car seats and Snap 'N Go stroller, which you see Matt demonstrating a wheelie with in the photo. Quite alarming to actually wheel it around!  It's really just a lightweight frame that the infant seats lock on to-- pretty much every twin mom says it's the best way to go as far as ease of use.  We decided to buy it used because no one really uses them longer than 6 months and, let's face it, how much do you get out with them in those first few months anyway? Thanks, Tom and Alicia, for the craigslist tip for strollers!

Week 24 means another sonogram...we won't post until later next week so we can update everyone on that! Have a great week!
