Two Months!

I know, I know, I'm a terrible blogger. But, seriously, these babies are WORK! The proof is in the pic-- gone are the days of just marking off the To Do List.  It's all pacifiers & burp cloths now.  Not that we're complaining...we're loving every minute of it, but the down side is it's not as easy for us to share all the fun!

So, the babies turned 2 months on Sept. 6th.   Since we had Andy & Jenni's wedding on the 11th, we postponed their two month doc visit until after we returned (SHOTS!).  I was waiting until we had all the stats to post--  Aiden is now 22.5 inches and weighs 11 lbs.  Adeline is 22 inches and weighs 10.5 lbs.  As you can see from the pics, they've put on the weight. Chubby, chubby, chubby! :)

If you don't already recall, two months is a fun age.  They have started smiling, cooing, and interacting with the world.  Aiden is our more social one-- he's always got a smile and a laugh and LOVES his mobile.  He giggles & squeals a little now too.  Adeline is more reserved, but will grace you with her smile once in a while.  She's recently fallen in love with the monkey on the playmat, but mostly she just likes to coo at her own reflection.  She is far more developed in motor control-- she holds her head up on her own most of the time, will "stand" and "bounce" and is already trying to roll over/scoot when on her belly.  He's primarily been our "sack o' taters", but has started to hold his head up more.  He does like to use his feet & toes, though-- he's always kicking at things & grabbing things with his toes.  It's so funny to watch him.  We think he might have a career in soccer.

Adeline favors Matt-- she has big blue eyes, lighter skin and lighter hair.  She has the prettiest lips & eyelashes and the chubbiest cheeks.  We swear all her weight is in her cheeks!  Aiden looks exactly like my baby photos.  His eyes haven't turned as much as hers, but they are definitely going to be darker.  Most likely, they'll be brown, but they have a hazel tint to them so we're not sure. His arms & legs are getting rolls-- so cute you just want to nibble. 

And the big question:  Are they sleeping?  Well, yes & no.  Up until last night, the longest we went between feedings was 5 hours.  But last night we fed them at 10:30 and they slept until 6.  We'll see if it lasts...

And more about the wedding!!!  The kiddos did very well on the long drive-- 15 hours each way.  And it was so much fun to visit with the family!  Of course, they were dolled up.  Aiden in his tux & Adeline in her dress.  She even matched her cousin Lauren! (I'll put up the pic if I get 5 minutes on the computer where it's stored).   The wedding was absolutely beautiful and we are so thrilled to welcome Jenni to the family!
