Just a little celebratory post to say we've made it to Week 34! Of all the milestones, this is the biggest one-- the earliest week they feel babies can be born without much medical intervention. Obviously, the longer the babies stay in, the better, but this is when we can all breathe a sigh of relief.
So what does that mean in terms of due date? Not much. The only guarantee we have is that they will not let me go past Week 38. If I make it to that point, they will plan a c-section for that week. If I go into labor sooner, they will monitor me & deliver the babies when the time is right.
Would they still do a C-section if I go into labor on my own? Yes, we will still plan to have a c-section. It's the safest and least stressful way to deliver multiples. Of course, things happen, but this would be the plan.
So now what? Well, just like every other pregnancy, we wait and watch for any signs of impending labor. The majority of twin moms deliver somewhere in the 36-38 range. One thing we can be sure on is that mother nature will have her way and we'll just have to be ready for whatever she brings. :)
